About the Foundation

The Moegyo Humanitarian Foundation (MHF) was founded in May 2008 with volunteers from the United States of America, Thailand, Australia and Myanmar to assist the victims of Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar (Burma). The mission of MHF is to provide humanitarian aid and to help people rebuild and improve their lives and societies. The MHF is not affiliated with any political organizations or agenda.

The MHF is one of the first volunteer groups in Myanmar after the Cyclone Nargis to provide an effective and efficient relief to the victims. The MHF's approach, with a focus on speed and results using local volunteers and experts, is widely recognized across the Myanmar communities as an optimal model to fill the void left by the national and international aid agencies.

The MHF focuses on three programs:

• Distributing aid to the victims;
• Rebuilding lives through building budget huts;
• Restoring lives by helping the families and children.

The MHF is recognized by the state of New York in the United States of America as a not-for-profit organization. Our federal tax id is 26-2639437. MHF is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions to the Moegyo Humanitarian Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
